Seoraksan

To celebrate our anniversary and my birthday, Jack and I took the bus from Seoul to Seoraksan National Park. These pictures are from our second day of hiking after a night of heavy rain. The hike took us along a stream of waterfalls to a peak that normally would have given us a view of another, much larger waterfall. As fortune would have it, before we reached the overlook our fading view was smothered by a thick blanket of clouds. We sat together awhile at peace, listening to the far-off falls.
